I’m Sophia Sanford. I am an artist who produces and releases music & music videos and runs Noise Machine, my residency space, music studio and a brand new label. We aim to support artists and audiences in connecting with sound in nature.

Music and sonic expression have served me throughout my life as both space for essential emotional processing & place for loud silly fun creativity and exploration. A life-long practice of emotional translation through the reorganization of words and sounds, music has invariably been a place where I can articulate specific truths, telling stories poetically, turning pain to power, and harnessing the remarkable energy that comes from creation. Thoroughly a choir nerd, I bring a depth of emotion to my production that echoes with an eerie obsession with the voice and all things sound.

Through my practices of producing, performing, learning, and educating I have built a space and community where artists, industry professionals, and audiences can connect to sonically. I offer various services through my music studio including music, songwriting, production, and music tech education. I offer services for those ready to embark on their production journeys and for those looking for some new perspective in their existing practice. Always deepening my own technical skill through giving and receiving mentorship, I revel in the opportunities that my work presents to understand sound, nature, and culture on deeper levels.

My passions lie in translating life’s experiences into pleasurable activities centred around sound, self expression, and connection to nature & community.
